Rawcliffe Bridge Primary is a well-established village school and is the heart of the community. The school attracts children from the village and surrounding areas. The entrance to the building is the oldest part and used to be the caretaker’s lodgings. Over the years, the school has grown and the building has been extended leading towards generous grounds.
One of the main features of the school is the newly-established Nursery. Children from as young as three can come and learn in the amazing classroom and outdoor spaces. Our staff provide hands-on opportunities to engage and start a child’s love of learning, giving them confidence in preparation for school life. Children who attend our nursery often stay at Rawcliffe Bridge Primary School or move to our federated school, Rawcliffe Primary School.
There are three sizeable classrooms and children are taught in mixed-aged classes. The teacher to pupil ratio is low allowing the teachers to give attention quickly to individual concerns – supporting their academic and emotional needs equally. The small number of children make the school feel like a family.
