We want children to enjoy their time at Rawcliffe Primary School. We want to equip them with skills, knowledge and understanding to provide the foundation stones they need as they progress through life, through providing a secure, stimulating and happy environment in which they can develop and learn in a way appropriate to their experience and understanding. In an environment in which they are encouraged to talk, are listened to, and their viewpoints valued.
The welfare of our children is of paramount importance. Health Education and Personal & Social Development in school, along with promoting good behaviour, Values for Life and an understanding of E- Safety, addresses personal safety, with the aim of empowering children to make confident decisions in their own best interests. Staff are available to listen to children’s worries and fears and support children in making positive choices.
Rawcliffe Primary School fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection. Everyone working within the school understands their legal duty to work with other agencies in protecting children from harm and responding to abuse.
