We understand that more and more schoolchildren are struggling to cope with their mental health. Amidst rising rates of depression, anxiety and self-harm in children and young people, we have identified the development of good mental health as one of our school improvement priorities.
Good mental health is fundamental to be able to thrive in life. If we’re not tackling mental health problems early, then we risk failing the next generation right at the start of their lives. As such, we have a Designated Lead for Mental Health (Miss R. Knight) as well as a Designated Teaching Assistant (Mrs Littlewood-Wright) who works with children to address issues and concerns related to their mental health.
We hold regular parent workshops to equip our parents with the information needed to support their children and in addition, we hope you find the following information useful:
