Hello! This term we are looking into non-chronological reports. We are going to spend time reading and analysing texts, editing and improving texts before finally writing our own.
Wednesday and Thursday are our beginning lessons for the topic!
Wednesday,
Below are some different text types, I'd love you to have a read through them, try and work out which text type might be non-chronological!
In your book just make a little list such as, text 3 and 4 are non-chronological reports.
Challenge, I'd like to see if you recognise any other types of text before I give you any more information. Do you recognise any other types of writing?

Information,
A non chronological report is a piece of non-fiction writing which is not written in time order.
Writing like instructions, recounts and explanations are written in time order ( chronologically). A recount tells you what happened in an order of events.
An example of a non-chronological report would be a fact file about a certain topic, place or thing. A fact file doesn't have anything written in time order, which something like instructions must have!
Have another look at the texts and see if you found them all using the answer sheet here.
