Hello, this afternoon we are looking into our digestive system. Year 4 might remember looking at this last year but we're going to have a recap and do some experiments about our digestive system.
Activity 1,
Before we start looking through the power point can you try drawing me a digestive system without any help. Either draw it on a piece of paper or draw it into your book (which we don't normally do in class).
Activity 2,
As we go through this powerpoint, I'd like you to write subheadings for each part and write down their roles.
Example,
Teeth,
Break up your food, cut your food and help break it into small enough parts to swallow.

Activity 3,
Wow, thats what happens to all of our food! It goes from our mouth to our stomach. Then round our intestines when the nutrients reach our blood and get pumped around our body.
Can you now have another go at drawing and labelling a digestive system. How does your second attempt differ to your first attempt?
Year 4's if you fancy a challenge, can you remember the role or our different teeth?
If not, do some research and see if you can find out the role our teeth play ready for next week!
Challenge
The powerpoint showed us all of the digestive system and was my way of teaching you about the system. Can you create me a poster, leaflet or information text or video explaining how the digestive works. You can do this however you want to but make sure you show me your work. I'll keep my eyes peeled for extra dojos as a prize for good work!
