Mathletics Tasks are differentiated for children – we are currently looking at multiplication and division. Children should be encouraged to do any working out in the back of their maths books, there is also a help button for if the children are struggling. If a child scores below 75% can they be encouraged to try again as they can complete the tasks as many times as they require – the number of attempts taken is logged on the teacher portal so I can see if they have struggled with an activity.
TT Rockstars Times Table Practice – How much can you improve in 6 weeks? Be prepared to amaze Miss Knight when we return to school, hopefully at the end of February like promised. I emailed passwords and login information over the weekend so please message me if you have not received it yet.
Reading Comprehension You will have been sent a copy of either Kensuke’s Kingdom or Bill’s New Frock in your pack. On the website if you click on the tab with the appropriate book, work is set here. You all received a comprehension booklet in your pack but extra activities and writing can be found online
On a Thursday, 'What’s in the News' comprehension will be posted both online and on Dojo – this is so that most up-to-date news can be used.
How far can we walk? At the moment, our travel is restricted so together, class 3 are going to see how far we can walk whilst we are in lockdown. If you go on a daily walk, can you log how far you have walked in your book (e.g. Monday xxx steps = 2.23km / 1.4 mile) Next week, I will compile all our information together and this will then become part of our maths and geography.
Readiwriter Children can either log on to readiwriter to do their spelling practice or a look, cover, say, write check sheet is available on the spelling tab. Spelling tests on a Friday. If you do not have a printer and would like a Spelling book please let me know and I will arrange this.
