Home learning
- Home learning will be updated by 9:00am each Monday morning with tasks for the week. These will be differentiated so that all children, can access the learning at an appropriate level. Pupils will be assigned to a particular group and will access the work of that group.
- Teachers will be accessible via DOJO for parental queries about the work set during school hours. Please be mindful that some of our teachers are educating children in school so they may not give you an immediate reply.
- Weekly activities will include: Mathletics; Readiwriter; different foundation subject focuses each week; phonics in KS1, Maths and English (Reading and Writing activities)
- Work must be uploaded to DOJO or emailed to class teacher by 4:30 pm each Friday.
- Children will be awarded DOJO points for work completed.
Our Timetable
Please find below an example timetable for you to use at home. I will edit it each week with the activities that I have set for the children. I would like to point out that this is not prescriptive it is an example, you know your children, you know what is best for your children if you feel they need to do things a different way around then do it your way :-) In school on a real day if I can see that the children need to have a break then that is what we do. We want you to enjoy this time with your children too!

Activity 1- We are going to have our teams call during this lesson where you can work with me and your peers to improve and edit your work. I would like you to use today's lesson to finish writing your story based on the book Jim and the Beanstalk! Activity 2- I would like you to read through your completed story with a parent and edit and improve your work, remember to check your spelling and punctuation and make sure that your sentences make sense! It's no good having a story that doesn't make sense!
Activity 3- Time to write up your final copy! You can either use a new page in your project book or you can print the paper below to write a beautifully neat final copy of your story! Remember to really focus on your handwriting! You might even have a special pen or pencil that you could use to help you concentrate even harder!
I can't wait to read your stories!

For our learning today we are going to focus on the Great Barrier Reef I would like you to create me a 'fact file' about the great barrier reef using the powerpoint below. I would like you to make this piece of work beautiful by adding pictures and diagrams.
Try to think carefully about what you want to show! You might want to type it on the computer or complete it on a blank piece of paper. I will also attach some fact file templates that you might want to print off and use!
Think about Finley's Amazing Egyptian Adventure and how well he and his mum thought outside of the box to complete their learning activity! Could you create a video advertising the Great Barrier Reef or a documentary like David Attenborough discussing the wildlife that lives there? The possibilities are endless!

RE- Who are the founders of Christianity, Islam and Buddhism?
In this weeks RE lesson I would like you to identify the founders of Christianity, Islam and Buddhism using the powerpoint below.
Activity: For your activity I would like you to create a depiction of a faith founder as a stained glass window, this can be in the form of a picture or a model to reflect a faith founder. Some examples of how to create a stained glass window can be found below. Muslims don't believe that Muhammed should be generated as a person so they have chosen to decorate their art work with patterns where as Christians and Buddhists believe that their faith founders had an image that was then shown in their stained glass windows. You can choose which one you would like to reflect.

I have arranged our reading into groups depending on the spelling group you are in. In each page I have also included the spellings for your child for that week. :-)

Physical Education
How can Chinese New Year be expressed through Dance?
Aim:
To develop an understanding of how Dynamics impact a dance.
To develop an understanding of how Dynamics impact a dance.
Let's warm up!
This week I would like you to think about how dynamics help you to dance, take a look at the slides below to help you! For your PE activity today I would like you to think about how Dynamics impact the way you portray an animal, begin with the rat then have a go at other animals such as the rabbit, goat and pig.
It is important you still keep on with PE throughout the week on top or spending some time outside just like for playtime. We recommend an hour outside just like at school. (15 minutes in the morning, half an hour at lunch time and 15 minutes in the afternoon.)
Joe Wicks is putting on PE sessions on his YouTube page live at 9am every other day so why not give that a go!
