School Lunches

We pride ourselves in providing our children with excellent quality, nutritious food. We feel it is one of the most important aspects of a child's life - to eat properly. Eating a healthy diet enables a child to live life to the full and gives them a better performance all round, specifically helping with concentration levels which, in turn, helps all round achievement. We therefore encourage our pupils to enjoy a school dinner and are glad to have such a high uptake of school dinners at our schools. It is good to know that our pupils are benefiting from a well-balanced and healthy meal.

It may be that your child is eligible for a free school meal. Even if they are in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1, Year 2) and so receive a free school meal already, it is worth finding out if they are still 'eligible' as this has an impact on further in-school provision that can be made available for your child and others.  Click this link to find out whether or not your child is eligible.

To help ensure your child enjoys our school meals, our menus are developed in consultation with cooks and their schools. In the East Riding we have a number of policies in place to ensure that all our food is safe and nutritious. Menus alter between Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer to offer variety with the changing seasons. We currently charge £2.60 per day for a hot school meal which should be paid via Parent Pay. Please speak to the school offices for further details.

Lunch Menus

The lunch menus are on a 3 weekly rolling programme. The dates are listed on each menu below so that you can see what the lunch offer is each day. You and your child will be able to choose to have a school dinner on each day they would like. They will tell their class teachers what their choice is at morning registration so that it can be ordered and ready them at lunchtime.
